Description

General Description: Act as a support for both the Engineering and Customer Service Department. Requires a lot of interaction with external customers as well as many internal departments. Good communication and computer skills are required.

 

Responsible for gathering data and appropriate technical information, specifications and business requirements to respond to customer requests for quotation and product information. Good communication and computer skills are required, to prepare customer presentations, designs and quote responses. Also acts as a support for both the Manufacturing Engineering and Customer Service Department. Additionally, leads contract review for new products as necessary.

 

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Quote new parts
  • Help with Customer Service pricing
  • Help determine costs of manufactured parts
  • Contacting outside vendors for production support
  • Record production routing changes in computer
  • Sending samples and/or catalogs to customers
  • Reviewing customer prints for manufacturability.
  • Reviewing customer specifications for our ability to meet them and noting them in our system.

· Regular and consistent attendance

· Implement and utilize ISO Procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Sales Engineering Manager
  • Assisting with contract review process of purchase orders.

 

Additional Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Sales and/or Customer Service activities as assigned
  • Practice courteous, pleasant phone and email demeanor with customers

· Keep work area neat and orderly

 

 

Prerequisite Qualifications:

 

  • Engineering degree desired but not required
  • Team player
  • Good understanding of production processes
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Good knowledge of math
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple activities and quotations at one time
