Description
General Descriptions:
Responsible for making molds.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drill press operations of drilling, tapping and chamfering
- Plate de-burring and straightening
- Learning machine shop operations
- Operate manual machining centers (Bridgeport, Surface Grinder, Lathe, Tool Grinder, etc.)
- Operate machine shop hand equipment (Drills, Surface and Hand Grinders, Cut Off Saw, etc.)
- Operate CNC Lathe / Mill
- Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
- Use various measuring equipment (Micrometers, Calipers, Comparator, etc.)
- Assemble molds
- Mold maintenance and repair
- Read and understand Cad Drawings
- Ability to work with very tight tolerances
- Lift and carry 5-25 pounds on a regular basis
- Work while standing for extended periods of time
- Regular and consistent attendance
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Keep work area orderly
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Machine shop skills or experience a plus
- Computer literate in Master Cam, Excel and Word
- Willing to learn new skills and attend schooling if required
- Work as a team member and follow established procedures in a new, well equipped, fast paced tool room
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet productivity expectations and deadlines
